Hi team,
Deanne and I presented the Scorecard project and latest draft of the
Napa River card (see attached) to the Napa County WICC Board yesterday.
They had a few comments (below), and will send additional input over the
next few weeks (hopefully).
1. add texture markings to color circles on scorecard...this will
make scorecard work in black and white, and assist people who cannot see
color differences.
2. Water retention is a misleading name for the indicator of
Stewardship (given the metrics that we propose to use for the
indicator). We should come up with a different name.....Permeability?
Groundwater Recharge? Groundwater Replenishment?
3. Is impervious area to flawed a metric to use for the water
retention indicator?
4. Why can we not use volume of recycle water as a metric for the
water self-sufficiency indicator? Isn't this data readily available and
meaningful?
We should discuss our responses to these comments during the first of
the upcoming two meetings - Fri Oct 3.
