Hi all,
After our meeting yesterday I remembered that I had done a fair amount of
research regarding using % impervious area as an indicator for watershed
health as a part of the CCA project. I took a few pages from one of our
deliverables that might be helpful, as it summarizes the whole threshold
idea in the literature that we were talking about yesterday and if it's
really a suitable indicator for western watersheds. There is quite a bit
more information as well, if you are interested, including a calculation of
IA in Sonoma Creek based on the county's old general plan. Not sure if
that's helpful but it would at least give us a ballpark estimate without
expending further effort (and project funds).
